At ProcessUS, we are proud to guide our athletes towards the best sporting and academic opportunities in the United States. Today, we introduce you to the three major associations that govern college sports: NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA. Each offers unique and rewarding paths for young talent.

🔹 NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) The NCAA is the largest and most recognized association, overseeing about 1,200 institutions and organizing championships in three distinct divisions. It is famous for its high level of competition and substantial athletic scholarships. In August 1973, the NCAA decided to structure itself into three divisions:

  • Division I
  • Division II
  • Division III Member universities in Division I and II can offer scholarships, unlike those in Division III.

🔹 NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) With more than 250 colleges and universities, the NAIA is known for its academic flexibility and opportunities for personal development. It allows for a more balanced student experience, offering both competition and quality education.

🔹 NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) The NJCAA manages sports in community and junior colleges, which is ideal for students looking to start their sports careers with a more measured approach. NJCAA institutions are often excellent starting points for sports and academic careers.
