Developed through the French tennis system, he quickly established himself as a promising player on the junior circuit before continuing his progression through both NCAA Division I tennis and the professional ITF circuit.

Career Path

Mathis started playing tennis at the age of 4 and developed through a highly competitive training environment in France. Early in his career, he stood out on both national and international junior circuits, reaching a career-high ITF Junior ranking of World No. 299.

He later moved to the United States to combine elite-level academics with high-performance tennis.

Texas A&M University

During his first NCAA season at Texas A&M University, Mathis posted an impressive singles record of 10 wins and 4 losses, demonstrating his ability to compete at a high collegiate level.

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)

Following his time at Texas A&M, Mathis transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he continued his strong development.
