Clément Lemire is a French tennis player competing at the NCAA Division I level with UCF, a member of the Big 12 Conference. He began his college career at the University of Oregon before transferring to UCF ahead of the 2025-26 season, where he quickly became one of the program’s most consistent performers.
Career Path
Before college, Lemire built a competitive junior résumé on the ITF circuit, reaching a career-high singles ranking of No. 1544. He started his NCAA career at Oregon before making the move to UCF, joining a Knights program on the rise in the Big 12.
A Breakout Sophomore Season at UCF (2025-26)
Lemire made an immediate impact in his first season with the Knights, quickly establishing himself as a reliable presence throughout the lineup :
- Led UCF with an 8-3 singles record in the fall season, while going 2-3 in doubles
- Delivered a perfect 3-0 record in Big 12 dual-match play
- Won a three-set thriller in UCF’s Big 12 Tournament quarterfinal victory over Arizona State
- Clinched UCF’s second-round win at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in California with a three-set win over Oklahoma on court six, sending the team to a second-consecutive ITA Indoor Championship appearance
- Across 50 completed sets during the season, he dropped just 12, including nine sweeps
- After his only loss of the season, to Baylor on February 13, he went 18 matches unbeaten, picking up 11 wins along the way — a stretch that included a nine-match singles winning streak
A Key Piece of UCF’s NCAA Tournament Run
Lemire played a central role as UCF advanced deep into the 2026 NCAA Tournament :
- Helped sweep South Carolina State in the first round with a commanding 6-1, 6-2 win
- In the second round against Florida, he was one of four Knights to reverse a 3-0 team deficit, coming back from a set down to defeat Kevin Edengren, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, helping send UCF to the Sweet 16
- In the Super Regional against Wake Forest, he again battled back from a set down to win 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, tying the match at 3-3 and setting up UCF’s decisive point

In just his first season at UCF, Clément Lemire established himself as one of the program’s most clutch and consistent singles players, repeatedly delivering in three-set battles during the biggest moments of the season.
