Rémy Dugardin is a French tennis player from Le Touquet-Paris-Plage who capped his collegiate career with a standout graduate season for Duke University, one of the premier programs in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), before returning to the professional ITF circuit.

Career Path

Before arriving at Duke, Dugardin had already built a competitive résumé on the professional ITF circuit, reaching a career-high singles ranking of No. 1237. Rather than joining the NCAA system as a traditional freshman, he came to the United States as a graduate student, pursuing a Master in Management at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business while competing for the Blue Devils’ men’s tennis team at the NCAA Division I level.

A Standout Graduate Season at Duke (2024-25)

In his lone season with the Blue Devils, Dugardin quickly became one of the team’s most reliable performers, particularly in high-pressure moments :

• Finished second on the team with 19 overall singles wins (19-8)
• Posted a 14-4 dual-match singles record, including a 5-3 mark in ACC play
• Compiled a 15-7 overall doubles record, with a 12-2 mark in dual matches and a perfect 8-0 conference record, primarily alongside teammate Gerard Planelles Ripoll
• The doubles pairing finished the season ranked No. 90 in the final ITA rankings
• Named to the All-ACC Academic Team (2025)

Dugardin developed a reputation as a clutch performer for Duke, twice delivering the deciding point in three-set battles :

• Clinched a 4-3 senior-day win over No. 34 Miami with a three-set victory on court four, closing out the match after trailing early
• Clinched Duke’s 4-3 ACC Tournament quarterfinal win over No. 2-seed NC State, battling through a marathon third set on court four to send the Blue Devils to the semifinals

Beyond College Tennis

Having completed his collegiate eligibility, Dugardin has returned to the professional ranks, competing on the ITF pro circuit.
