Florida Trip 2026

Tennis Camp USA: a look back at the Florida Tennis Roadtrip 2026

From February 19 to March 2, 2026, twelve young players aged 15 to 20 took part in a tennis camp in the USA unlike any other: the Florida Tennis Roadtrip, organized by ProcessUS Consulting in partnership with the French Touch Academy. Over ten days, supervised by five chaperones, they took part in ten training sessions, visited seven NCAA university campuses, and experienced, for the duration of the trip, the daily life of an American student-athlete.

This report looks back at how this 2026 edition in Florida unfolded, its concrete results for the players, and presents the next step: a tennis camp in the USA in California, planned for February 2027.

A tennis camp in the USA at the heart of NCAA campuses

The Florida Tennis Roadtrip is not just a tennis camp in the United States focused solely on training. It is an immersive trip that combines on-court technical work, meetings with student-athletes, and a hands-on discovery of the American university system.

Over ten days, the participants trained, exchanged with players competing at NCAA universities, and visited seven campuses representative of the diversity of American university tennis programs. This format allows young players and their families to better understand what it really means to join an American university through sport, beyond the clichés often seen on social media.

The numbers behind the Florida Tennis Roadtrip 2026

This tennis camp in the USA, by the numbers:

  • 12 players, aged 15 to 20
  • 10 training sessions led by the ProcessUS team
  • 8 NCAA campuses visited in Florida
  • 5 chaperones present throughout the trip
  • 10 days of full immersion, from February 19 to March 2, 2026

Ten sessions to experience American college tennis

The program’s ten sessions were led by the ProcessUS team and designed to give players a realistic sense of the intensity of American college training. Each session combined technical work, physical preparation, and match play, with a progression tailored to each participant’s level.

Several sessions brought the young players together with student-athletes, allowing for direct exchanges about training rhythm, balancing academics and sport, and the expectations of college coaches. A highlight of the trip: a simulated college match was organized between the participants, reproducing the format of a team match as played in American college tennis, complete with match order and team spirit — a scenario that helped everyone better understand the collective dimension of the sport in the United States, very different from the individual circuit they were used to.

Eight NCAA campuses discovered in Florida

The program combined a session at the Crandon Park Tennis Center with visits to eight university campuses in Florida, representing NCAA Division I and Division II programs:

  • Crandon Park Tennis Center: a tennis and physical preparation session to kick off the trip under American training conditions.
  • University of Miami (Miami U): a tour of the campus and sports facilities, followed by a college tennis match.
  • Barry University: a campus discovery, a tennis training session, and a college basketball game.
  • Lynn University: a tour of the university facilities and training on the campus courts.
  • University of Central Florida (UCF): a campus tour, a tennis session, and observation of a college match.
  • Rollins College: discovery of a smaller-scale campus and its university environment.
  • Stetson University: a campus visit to discover another study-and-sport setting in Florida.
  • Flagler College: a tour of the facilities and a taste of the college sports atmosphere during a basketball game.
  • University of Florida (Florida Gators): a campus tour, tennis training and physical preparation inside the football stadium, followed by watching two college tennis matches.

Much more than a simple tennis camp in the United States

This trip goes well beyond a classic tennis camp in Florida. On the sporting side, the players improved technically and physically thanks to a sustained training pace. On the academic side, they were able to concretely picture themselves in the life of a student-athlete, well before even considering an application.

The human and collective dimension also marked the trip: living together for ten days, sharing training sessions, travel, and downtime creates a rare sense of group cohesion. Finally, the cultural discovery, campus visits, meetings with American students, immersion in an English-speaking environment, allowed the participants to gain independence, an essential skill for succeeding in a future study project in the United States.

What the players took away from the trip

By the end of the trip, several players had decided to pursue an American university project, and some of them are now being guided by ProcessUS in building that project. Beyond the sporting side, participants gained a better understanding of the NCAA system, as well as more independence and confidence, progress observed both on and off the court.
